CLIENT: EU-RUSSIA CENTRE

Task: Organization of a media relations campaign and providing publicity around the EU-RC research project “Voices from Russia: Society, Democracy, Europe” in several European countries and in Russia.

Strategy and tactics: Develop and implement international media relations campaign to present the research project to the key target audiences, including MEPs, international relations experts, media analysts, politicians, students, national politicians. Working with partners in European countries in order to formulate and disseminate key findings of the research. Presentations in Moscow, Brussels, London, Warsaw, Munich, Lisbon, Vienna, Stockholm, etc. Preparation and dissemination of all information materials (press releases, backgrounders, and research summary) in 10 languages. Follow-up activities include media monitoring, response to media requests, interviews.

Result: Extensive media coverage across Europe and in Russia. A number of analytical TV programmes, including “Vremena” on Russia’s Channel One, used the research results as the main topic of the program discussion. The highly publicized research results were used by the European Commission and in national governments’ legislative documents.
